EUROLTA - Course Structure and Content


The series of EUROLTA seminars are delivered in two modules, Basis and Extended (certification stage) with a total of 112 lesson hours of 45 minutes each. The course is completed with the submission of a dossier containing four short written tasks related to the contents of the course, as well as the written records of an observed teaching session. All dossiers are evaluated by an external assessor.

The seminars are all delivered in German but the contents of the course are designed for teachers of all languages working with adults. The seminars take place on Saturdays and Sundays, from 08:30-15:30.

• Basis seminar 2

Skills - Reading, Skills - Writing, Teaching vocabulary 1, Learner preferences and learning strategies

• Basis seminar 3

Teaching grammar, Activities and tasks, Analysing teaching materials, Lesson planning, Games in the classroom

• Basis seminar 4

Correcting learners and giving feedback, Phonology, Micro-peer teaching, Language and culture 1

• Extended seminar 1

• Extended seminar 2
