The school

When we established PROLOG over 20 years ago, it was our aim to offer an alternative to the traditional training and education market. Since then thousands of students have been won over by our open and inviting atmosphere, our international mix of learners and the cultural diversity of Berlin. In our German courses last year alone, we welcomed over 2000 learners from more than 60 different countries!

We also offer courses in 15 other languages, all compliant with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, ranging from our two-hour Light course profile all the way through to our Intensiv courses with 40 lesson hours per week.

In additional, we are accredited and certified by the AZWV as a centre of excellence which means we offer language courses for which education vouchers can be accepted.

In 2002, PROLOG became an affiliate of International House World Organisation. This network of more than 140 language schools in more than 40 countries worldwide is committed to improving and developing the quality of language tuition through cooperation, exchange of ideas and best practice and the continuous development of language teachers

As every language learner knows, the success of any language course depends heavily on the quality of the teachers. IH Berlin PROLOG is therefore committed to developing the competence of teachers and offers a variety of training courses for language teachers.

Since 2005, we have been offering the "International House Certificate" for teachers of German as a Foreign Language. Holders of the International House Certificate are regarded as competent and well-trained and sought after as teachers all over the world. Alongside the International House Certificate, in 2007 we introduced a course for the further training of teachers of German as a Second Language.

Our customers stand at the centre of everything we do at IH Berlin PROLOG. We constantly assess our customers’ wishes and offer language courses tailored to individual requirements and market demands. As a quality service provider we ask all of our customers to give us their feedback on our language courses in the form of a customer satisfaction questionnaire.

For our quality management system, IH Berlin PROLOG received ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2007.
